ThoughtShuffler
ThoughtShuffler is a software service for modulating the deluge of incoming data, focusing a user’s initial interests and then deepening her understanding and point-of-view. Starting from a given user focus, ThoughtShuffler uses web search engines and intranet repositories to present heterogeneous content from a wide range of sources. From user actions and analysis of the content, ThoughtShuffler displays terms that are derived from each document, enabling the user to “compare and contrast” across the documents. The user uses comparison of terms and content to refine the search criteria, adding further focus and context. The technology is developed by General Cybernetics, a company in New York.
